i dont like the rolling stones

I like the rolling stones, they aren't may favorite band but i still don't mind listening to them. and you can't call a band that has been popular since the 60's overrated because they are obviously doing something right.

how could you say the stones are overrated. In fact, what group can you name with more hits (save the beatles). What's more ... what group is still rocking today like them? I saw the stones last year and they put on one of the best shows I have EVER seen and they are twice as old as most of the acts I see.

Look at their most recent greatest hits album 40 licks. What do they have ... like 5 or ten non-classics? How many groups out there have 30 awesome songs that will be played 40 years from now?

the popular since the sixties argument can go either way, their immense popularity is also and argument for them being overrated.......

dare I say britney spears was popular too.

and more logically, so were/are the eagles who i find basically pretty terrible

I like some of their songs, but I agree that they are overrated.

Their popularity since the sixties is really not debateable as the Rolling Stones are still together and touring for over 40 years. Stones are popular but that's not what makes them one of history's international icons of rock. People just like bluesy raw rock and roll and that's probably what keeps selling their tickets.

Stones have staying power, something Britney Spears has yet to prove and do the Eagles even tour together anymore? Even if they do it's only after a few of their members had gone solo meanwhile the Stones' lineup all still remain , minus the band's founder, Brian Jones, of course.

yeah the eagles have a new album coming out.

the point of this was that it's all about opinion. i mean hotel california is like the best selling album ever or something, and take away the title track and maybe desperado, they are fucking awful and overrated as hell if you ask me.

this pretty much sums up what I think of the Rolling Stones i think.
