i dont know why i cut myself?

for the past year iv been cutting myself i realy dont know why sometimes when im down i just get a huge erge to bit myself or scratch or cut myself i dont know why its really freaking me out i dont want to do it i just cant stop and the other day i cut i hate me into my leg i did that when i had an arguement with my mum and my brother and sister started to bully me i dont no why i did it i just did and it didnt hurt and i didnt feel better afterwards i actually felt worse its not a atention thing i just cant stop doing it the only person who knows is my best friend she keeps asking me to stop and i keep trying to stop i just cant its really worrying me please help what should i do and does anyone have any similar problems it be really helpful to no why i do it x
