I'm 15 and i have an under active thyroid (hypothyroidism) and i've been taking Levothyroxine for 5 months now and it's just simply not working at all! I've got all of my symptoms and they are in fact worsening. I have freezing cold hands and feet all the time, hair loss, brittle dry hair that easily tangles, and constipation and looking pale. I am on the correct dose and my blood test show up normal so the doctors wont listen to me, they only go by the blood test results and not my symptoms! Also Levothyroxine gives me terrible insomnia so i just want to get OFF this horrible drug and switch to Natural dessicated thyroid hormone (Armour thyroid) but i am in the UK and it's not licensed so no doctor will prescribe it to me. I've heard you can buy it off the internet but that sounds waay to dodgy. please please please help i'm desperate to get well again, i've put up with these symptoms for 8 months.
I don't know what to do about this awful situation! please help!!?
