i have a PSP, im still learning how to do things on my PS3.
im thinking about saving up money to buy a new PS3 and give this one that i have to some one in my family.

but... is there another way to store media things without putting the memory slots in??

you can buy a media reader or multicard reader that You can plug on your PS3's USB port. It works the same. Actually you can plug anything USB on your PS3... keyboard, mouse, external hard drive, USB port hubs, etc. It's better than buying another PS3. And there is no more available PS3 with multi-card reader. They are discontinued.

Don't buy a new one. The only ps3's that have the media slot and extra usb ports are the original 20 gig ps3's. They no longer make ps3's like that. You can store media on your ps3 via USB drive. Which you can purchase for 10-30$. Any size/brand/kind will work. You just upload your pictures and music onto the drive and hook the drive into the ps3. Then you select and copy over. Or you can put it on a cd (burn everything to a cd) then upload it via that way.
