I have lived in my apartment for a year at the end of this month but because I am buying a house I have decided to move out. I have tried to get a copy of my lease agreement at least 3 or more times, but every time my landlord says yes you can have a copy but never gives it to me. I also do not want to pay my last months rent because I really do not think he will give me back my security deposit, not because the apartment is damaged or dirty but because he is not a trust worthy person. I do not have this mans address place of employment or anything. All I have to contact him is a cell phone number. Shady I know. He also informed me he just "left his job" so I do not believe I will get my security back. Not to mention he collects rent whenever he feels like it some months its the 10th some months its the 22nd. Legally what standing does he really have, I will be moving out within a maximum of 2 weeks and I really cant refer to my lease because I do not have a copy of it...
