How Does my appeal look? Do you think it's good enough?

In April of 2010, for reason unbeknownst to me, my mother fell into a deep depression. She became very weak and was unable to care for herself. She did not leave the house for weeks. She barely left her room. I was the only person that could competently care for her because she had given up on caring for herself. I had to stay home to cook for her, clean the house, give her medication, and take her to doctor's appointments. Taking care of my mother, trying to work a full-time job, and going to school full-time became to much to bear and I had to make a decision. I chose to take care of my mother. I became her full-time caregiver.
When my mother finally started to come out of her depression in June of 2011, I made the decision to join the Air National Guard. After so much time of not going to school and not working because of my mom, I knew I needed to do something to better myself and my family's situation. I had always planned to join the Air National Guard, and this past summer seemed like the best time. I definitely do not regret my decision because it has better prepared me for my future.
Prior to leaving, I was making great academic progress. I was definitely on course to pass all of my classes at Kennedy King and to continue my education, but my mother needed me. I am now ready to return to school full-time. I know I will not have to leave school again because my younger sister has moved back into my mother's house and will be able to care for her, should she get sick again. I very much value my education and know how essential it is to a bright future. I don't want to jeopardize my future. I want to set a good example for my siblings and friends by continuing my education full-time and graduating from college.
