I deleted a video from my windows media player and it doesnt play but the icon...

...wont go away. HELP PLEASE!?!? Im getting so frustrated! I went under setting and documents to make sure it was gone and the file doesnt show up in anything else but when i turn on the windows media player the icon is still there even tho the video isnt anymore. I dont know what to do. It wont go away. Ive even tried safe mode but under safe mode the windows media player wont even open
And I tried the right click delete option-->im not that challenged
