Hi, I accidentally hit the gate when I was backin my electron blue pearl Prelude out of my garage...and there are a few marks on the rear bumper. They are black and I suspect they are paint from the gate (black). I want to know if there's any way to remove teh black paint from the original blue paint?

Thanks.

JJ, soap doesn't take off paint genius. Also, if the paint transfer is a SCUFF you're not going to "scratch it off with your finger nail". Where did you come up with this BS info? You tell the guy a body shop won't be able to match the color(which any good paint would be able to match that color) yet you tell him to use clear coat from a spray can? Here's a tip, don't give out body repair advice.

Anyway, take taking some rubbing compound and a rag/cloth/small pad and try rubbing it off by hand. If it doesn't come off by then try going to a body shop or a detail place and they'll use a buffer on it(unless you have one, but be careful you can hurt the pain if you do it wrong).

Do you have any pics?
