i catch alot of mackerals when i fish?

when i fish from oceanside pier i catch alot of mackeral, more then i need (like 15 pretty fast) is there a way that you can like sell them to people? how much are they worth..

also if i dont need them should i just throw them back or give them to the people who are after them
 
this question is begging for a "holy mackeral" joke. i refuse to do it though.
