...any Federal Regulations? I currently own an LLC in the state of Florida..... I was hired to do some work for a company. They wrote me a check I cashed it at their bank and deposited the funds into my bank. They are attempting to file suit against me for requesting refund.... They are claiming improper business activity on my part and that I am in breach of Federal Regulations. Is this true.... I've heard of it being bank policy to not cash 3rd party checks etc. But I walked into the bank, gave them my Driver's license as well as a credit card with both my name and my company's name on it, and they cashed the check.....
I have my bank statements showing that I deposited the exact amount of the said transaction into my account.
1. Is this grounds to receive a refund? I don't believe it is.
