It is a 2001 Nissan Sentra.
I am unable to start my car. When I put the key in the ignition and turn, it won't budge.
The wheel is NOT locked.
I've tried turning the wheel, pressing the brake and it won't work.
Sounds like the switch is broken, you may have some tumblers that are not moving all the way. Try putting pressure on the key at different angles. Perhaps another key that is not as worn or have another key cut that way it will be slightly higher and could possibly work. But even if any of these remedies work your switch will have to be replaced or you could wind up hurting with no help in sight.
