I can't sign into MSN on htc Desire?

hey there , i got a HTC desire a couple of days ago. It's a pretty decent phone and everything works etc such as facebook. I tried to download MSN - Ebuddy - MSN talk and whenever i type my E-mail address and password in , it always says , the sign in has failed or something along the lines of that. I can log into facebook easily but for some reason it won't let me log into MSN. Does anyone know what the problem could be or how to fix this. Thanks
