I can't set up my yahoo e-mail on my Droid Eris from Verizon.?

I just got a Droid Eris and I can't set up my e-mail. There is a page on my phone where it says to set up my e-mail account. When I tap on that page it brings me to another page that says to choose a mail provider. It gives me two options: Microsoft Exchange Active Sync or Other (POP3/IMAP). I choose other and type in my yahoo account name and password then click next. After a while it says the user name or password is wrong. I know it's right, I've done it several times and it always says it's wrong. Am I doing something wrong? I'd appreciate any help. I got the phone through the mail so I had to set it up and activate it myself.
 
The Eris' version of Android doesn't support Yahoo. They are in the process of updating the Eris to the most recent version of Android, which does support Yahoo, so I would recommend waiting a couple days until you get the update, and then it will work..
