I can't seem to figure out what song this is that is stuck in my head. Any help?

I think it's the very beginning of the song that is stuck in my head. I know the song has a singer in it, but I can't remember any singing parts....so It's really difficult to figure out what it is, though, because all I remember is the beginning... there was a high-pitched percussion, like a xylophone or something, and it was playing slow, and the notes were pretty much seperated..starting with just two notes, a high note, and a lower note that went like this : low, high...low, high, high...low...and then a note thats sorta in between the two. Now you can probably see why this is causing me so much grief. I don't really know how else to figure out what it is then to ask here. So here goes.
