i read this book 15 yrs ago so i apologize for sketchy details. Its about a young girl during war time, she has a tutor and the tutor is betrothed or in love with her elder sister. The girl falls for the tutor. There is much drama going on around her due to the war. Something happens the tutor realizes he loves the young girl too and not her sister. i think the title had something about drums in it. not sure can anyone help me?
