A co-worker was reading a dark comedic novel which in one part the main character, a man, is giving a lecture on some really abstract, complicated stuff. He is very eloquent and feels on top of his stuff. When he is finished speaking, the audience just looks at him with confused looks on their faces. As it turns out, this man has some sort of frontal or temporal lobe damage and what he thinks is words coming out of his mouth is just a bunch of incoherent sounds. So for thirty minutes he's been talking to these people in nonsensical sounds and no one understands what he's been saying. However, in his mind he's been speaking like any other person.
For the life of me, I can't remember what this book is called. The copy that my co-worker had was paperback with a sky blue cover with a lime green/yellow lettering. The picture of the author on the back was of a man with shoulder length black hair. I know that these clues are very obscure, but I would really appreciate it if anyone knew the title or author, if they could tell me, thanks!
