I cant remember anything.?

I find that when I go into counseling every week, and she asks me various questions.. how I felt after our last session, what I've done over the week, etc, I can't remember. It's as if it never happened. Also, if I haven't seen someone for awhile( like a month) I start to forget what they look like. Like I have a fuzzy description, but don't know details. Same with direction and whatnot. I don't remember how to get anywhere. Families houses I have been to a million times, the mall, etc. I'm 21 years old. I'm supposed to be getting some psychological testing done, to see if my diagnoses are accurate, but not sure if it'll havery anything to do with my memory. It's kind of frustrating. Yes I have suffered from traumatic events. I don't know if that would have something to do with it or not. Anyone have any ideas? It's really hindering everything I do in my life.
