i can't reinstall windows media center on my pc?

I'm trying to boot up from the CD to reinstall the OS on my computer but it gives me the BSOD and tells me to run CHDSK /F.
But it won't let me get to the Repair/Reinstall window. how else can i go about reinstalling the system?
I don't have a recovery partition set up on this computer.
 
if it's only media centre then remove it at control panel and reinstall.disable or uninstall the anti virus software.Alter bios to boot from cd.Try safe mode,be prepeared to lose everything on the disc.
