My dad thinks that I play too much video games so he says I can't buy anymore new ones.
First of all, I don't play a lot. I am only allowed to play on weekends and holidays for 2 hours. It used to be 3 but then he shortened it an hour.
Second, I own a PS3 and Wii. I bought the PS3 by myself and my dad got the Wii for my birthday. That's what I don't understand. If he gets mad at me for playing "too" much but he buys me a Wii.....just so he can get angry with me?
Thirdly, I only own 6 games for the PS3 and 7 for the Wii. 2 PS3 games came with the system, the rest was spent with mine or my sister's money.
Fourth, I am a straight A student at the moment and taking all honors classes possible. I finish my homework everyday on the weekdays but that doesn't convince my dad to let me play. I play video games so that I can relax and take a break from all the vigorous work that I do during the week. It's a simple hobby that I love to do yet I'm not obsessive about it. I feel like the only way I can ever relax playing video games or even going to a friend's house (my dad rarely lets me do so) is to wait until I graduate and move out on my own. Is there any tips, advice, or a way of convincing my father to let me have a bit of freedom for once?
