I can't make calls nor receive calls on my palm pixi?

I know when someone tries to call me, like my phone starts ringing but whenever I answer the phone or try to make a call the EV in the corner by the bars disappears. I can still go on the internet and still text, but I can't call. I can't even call my voicemail. And I've tried shutting off my phone 3 times. What do I do?
