I can't download Windows Media Player 11, need help please!?
For some reason I can't install windows media player 11. I gotta download it for my walkman so I can transfer music and videos, but for some reason after I install the program it says I have "genuine validation" or something. It took me to this page that told me this.
"This copy of Windows did not pass genuine validation. The product key found on this computer was not assigned by Microsoft. Hide details The Windows product key installed on this computer was not assigned by Microsoft. You may be a victim of counterfeit software."
Ok what does that mean anyway? at the same time I'm thinking that the only reason it says that because the guy that fix my computer a long time ago, must have done something with the desktop box. It was only twice he did it as well. Though I have to say I did use to have Windows Media Player 11 install in my computer before, but when the spyware and virus started popping up. I just needed it to get it fix by someone. It also states in that page that I need to pay to get a genuine Microsoft software to get the product key. Ok.... I thought Windows Media Player was already install in your computer? Does anyone know where I could get my own product key? or do I need to buy it? I really want to install the Media Player 11.
