I can't figure out why my rear breaks are not entirely releasing. Honda Accord 1997?

Both rear wheels are not turning free and a lot of friction is causing tremendous heat. The parking break is off. The front wheels seem okay. I think it is a problem with the parking break, but I'm not sure. Any way of telling?
Disk Break... How do I free up the calibers? I removed the wheels tapped/smacked the calibers with a hammer. Rotated the wheels manually, pumped the beaks, manipulated the parking break handle. Loosened the parking break adjuster in the console
This break problem occured after I had the parking break on for about 2 hours while I replaced the radiator. I raised the front end to get under the car. When returning from the test drive I found the raidiator was working great, but the breaks were smoking! Both rear brakes are not releasing entirely. Is there anything near where you jack-up the front end of the car that I could have pinched?
Okay... I took another 2 mile test drive, with a lot of backing-up, stoping. No more smoking and they don't seem to be overheating, so maybe the calipers have freed-up somewhat. Then, I jacked-up the rear wheels and I can rotate the wheels with one hand, which is better than before. Yet, there is still some friction. The wheels do not continue to roatate freely. Is this normal or should they be totally friction free.

There might be a couple of reasons.

If you engage the Handbrake when the brakes are warm (if you've been braking harshly/lots before pulling up) then there is the chance that the brakes can stick because of the heat.

I'm assuming it has rear disk brakes - If it does then you might find that the piston may be sticking in the caliper. To fix this you will need to dismantle the caliper and remove the brake pad. Once this is done you will see the piston, try and push it back and forth, it should be fairly easy, if needed give it a good clean and re-assemble.

disk brake would be caliber sticking if its drum type you can adjust it back off and with any e brake you can adjust cable maybe most likley caliber
