I cant figure out this author.?

The plot is;




A house, in the futuristic time, working mechanically after a huge atomic bomb hit,


the author wrote many books and they were all based on the future.
 
My guess would be Ray Bradbury, but, as they would say on Reading Rainbow, "Don't take my word for it"
