I cant enter a chat room?

The first time I try it's says signing into chat took longer then expected. Then It won't even open a window to enter chat when I try again. I restarted the computer did the same thing.
 
See if this applies to you.

Yahoo restricts chat rooms to those who are 18 years of age and older. They do this for the protection and safety of minors.

If this does not apply to you, then sign out of or exit Yahoo Messenger and try again. If you have another Yahoo ID you could try that too.
