I Cant download mmo games?

I clicked restore computer and my files disappeared off the desktop. but i got all the files i wanted back. But the real problem is when i attempt to install a mmo game i always get some kind of error. i know i download it from the right place but i still get errors i think its from the restore what should i do or download
