Okay so i found an 88 Mercury Cougar with a 5.0 302 V8. It has 98,000 miles. Its in perfect condition inside and out. The asking price is 500$ but the woman who owns it said i could have it for 450$. The Bad Part: It needs a transmission. The Other Good Part: I found a transmission for it for 100$ and my dad can put it in. so the total would be 550$
Okay now heres where i can't decide.
I also found a 2001 dodge ram 1500 short bed. Its decent inside and out. It could use some armor-all on the interior. It's got a cd player and only 64,000 miles. The guy said i can have it for 950(but i don't have much money) The Bad Part: The transmission is slipping. The Good Part: I can get a new one for 500$.
So my question is..
Which would be a better deal?
Would it be easier just to fix the transmission in the dodge?
Which is more reliable?
I know the 5.0's are fun. i used to have one.
Thanks!
