I hate Americans who are intolerant of dissenting views.

Go live in some other country that doesn't allow views different than your own.
 
Even more impressive is that they were actually able to fill an auditorium with them.

No wonder this country is the laughing stock of the world.
 
Bin Ladin attacks and kills 2,974 on 9/11. Our retaliation is to invade Iraq killing 3,374 US Soldiers and wounding 4,152.

Sounds like a US victory to me.

No one thinks we won...hence us still there. They do, however, think that meeting our goals is something that can be done.

Minus the fact that a number of different speakers actually said it a few times last night and gained thunderous applause. Hell, Palin trashed Obama for not considering the war a victory.

"This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting, and never use the word "victory" except when he's talking about his own campaign."
 
I would trust the guy on the ground with the eye-witness "opinion" over the guy sitting comfortably in his recliner watching what the news thinks is entertaining enough to show him.

PS- On ground too. Also extremely impressed with the changes I have seen in the past year. It's like night and day.
 
I've been there. We've won. We completely fucked that place up . Right now we're driving around getting shot at, shooting back killing people..some of our guys die..., then we get shot at again, we kill some more people, ....etc etc
 
Mission Accomplished guys. We're in Iraq. The soldiers are dying. Not sure what we are really doing there anymore. But I think we can claim victory for our occupation. lol
 
I'm on ground now, and it's truly amazing.

I can't believe people who have never even been here, know nothing about the war (other than what the media feeds them) and think we lost this war...
 
The soldiers didn't lose anything.
They did the job asked of them.

However, we can't win a war without objectives.
It's funny how many times the goal has been changed.
We're looking for WMDS, ummmm, no we're out to get Saddam, ummmm, no we're trying to free the Iraqi's, ummmm no we're trying to bring peace and democracy to the middle east.

You can't change the goals after they've been achieved in order to reflect victory. This war is a FAIL because we never set a clear cut "victory". Good luck searching for those WMD's.

The administration has done a superb job at spinning every aspect of the war. The surge is WORKING!!! Yea, well why the hell did we need a surge to begin with? To quell an upswing in violence against us in the country we're liberating? Oh but it's Iran doing this or Al-Queda... not the Iraqi people.

Good job soldiers, I support you, you didn't fail.
Your president failed you.
