It was a borrowed mystery book and if I did take down the author's name I have misplaced it.
The main character is a young 30 year-old short professor named Lisa I believe who taught at a Law school somewhere in PA. She came from a successful family who owned a contruction company and she was dating a boyfriend who also was a part of the family business. She was the only girl in the family and had 2 or 3 other brothers. She lived with her bf and questioned their relationship. She became close friends with another professor at the same school she taught at. She volunteered to teach at a prison which is the same day a planned riot broke out and an officer was murdered. She heard the last words of the dying officer which was "under the floor" I believe. There's so much more detail.
Doe any of this ring a bell? I'd like to read more of her books. I know it was a female author and the title of this book was in pink lettering.
