I cannot seem to find a place to go wilderness camping while still bringing my dog?

I want to go real camping: go hiking then set up tent etc.. no cars, nothing unnatural. Anywho, I was hoping for somewhere in Maine that I could also bring my dog. I was hoping to hike about 10-20 miles a day for 3 days. Are there any places out there that allow pets and are in Maine? Please, no campgrounds!!1
