I was told over the phone I can write a letter cancelling. I did that for my wife and I and said I'd pay the cancellation fee and blah blah blah. I asked for them to send me the total due for cancellation.
They sent a letter two weeks later (today) asking for the prior months bill AND payment penalties!!!
I feel insulted! I agreed in the beginning to pay a fee if I cancelled early, so I will, but if they are going to tack this stuff on I'm not paying anything.
What can they do? What should I do?
My biggest fear is my credit. Will that be affected?
