Finger tips always hurt b/c of the number of nerves are very dense compared to the rest of the body. Drop by the local pharmacy & get silvadene cream for burns. That will help.

If its just red, put some ice on it
If its actually broken skin, some antibacterial cream with disinfectant and lidocane will help with the pain. put a bandage over it and then some ice.
