I broke my phone and I want to get a new one. Can I do this on Verizon?

I dropped my phone in some water and it does not work at all. Yes, I tried the rice thing. I have a Samsung Reality and I'm not a fan of the phone so I was wondering if I'd be able to switch to a different phone even though I'm under a 2 yr contract. I really want an iPhone. Can I do this with Verizon?
