I bought the M50.First ride in 26 years

Congrats on the bike and getting back into riding - I'm in about the same boat. Just got rid of an old '73 Sporty last summer and bought a used C50T, it had 1800 mi. on it so basically new. I have been enjoying riding again so much - wish I would have got back into it much sooner. I've seen many comments on this and other sites about the MSF course both pro and con, still not sure it's worth the time.

In any regard, good luck and ride on!

Samey same... I last rode when I was in my teens up to last October when my truck disappeared (long story) and I had no wheels and no cash. Not wanting to go through the credit butt-fricking at a car dealer, I threw together a thousand dollars and found a barely running CB900C and rode to work for a couple of weeks on it. Well, long story short, the CB900C was sold and I found a car I could afford, but the damage had already been done. I'd caught the bug.

On craigslist for a day, emailed about 50 people about their bikes... and the first one I actually looked at, I fell in love with. My 2006 M50 with 5k miles is now my pride and joy, and I can't even relate how much this has done to restore my mojo. About a week after starting to make the bike my own... a new girlfriend is now in my life too (due in no small part to my rediscovering what made me feel young - riding)...

Sometimes things happen for a reason - I thought I was at my lowest a few months back... and now I couldn't be happier (well, maybe - time will tell).

Do yourself a favor - if you really wanna feel like you have re-grown a pair, strip those stock pipes off your ride and invest in a set of new ones. They have yet to strip the %%%%-eating-grin off my face since I picked up my bike yesterday at the shop.

Ride safe friend...

i bought my first bike in 2007 new left over 2006 c50t LOVE IT in the last few years
of riding i have logged in 17000 miles and wouldn't have it any other way

Got back into riding in '06 after thirty years - immediately took a safety course, in the company of my two kids, which was a real good experience. I knew that they knew that I knew what they knew. And yet, 4 seasons later, my new bike is still unscratched, and they've both dumped, fortunately without injury to more than their pride. And Junior's SV650 won't be out on the road really soon.

And I learned and relearned a lot in the course too. Just can't say enough positive about doing the safe thing.

I bought my first bike ever in the fall of 06 and it was a new 07 midnight blue M50.
My first love (bike wise).
I never rode it just sat on it until it was delivered to my home.

I remember watching this number grow on the speedo as I rode. It went from 1 to 2 to 3 then I noticed it was at 8. I couldn't figure out what it was, then it dawned no me it was the ODOMETER silly and this was a new freaking bike!
First bike, first bike to ever break in too!

Enjoy your M.
