I bought Intuit QuickBooks Pro2010 multi-user. How to activate and use multi-user

function? I installed the program into my laptop and 2 desktops. I wanted to use one of the desktop as the host. After installing them, I still can not see the companies from my laptop and vice versa. I know there is something I did not do inorder to synchronize... but I don't know what I missed. Please help!!!
