I bought a XD9 4" and want to see about a weapon mounted laser?

Thank you all for giving me your opinion on the gun I should buy and for convincing me to stay away from Ported and compensated guns. But now I have ask for your help again. I want to find out what you think of a weapon mounted laser. give me pros and cons of having lasers. And if I should get lasermax or crimson tracer for my new XD9. I want it to help me with accuracy in the range and also night time home defense.

Thank you all. And Dont let the government undo the 2nd amendment by spreading the California gun ban across the U.S.
 
The laser sight isn't a completely bad idea, but I have found that my XD is an extremely 'pointable' gun. I use hand positioning suggested by Todd Jarret (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysa50-plo48) that usually puts the gun right where I want it to point, even before my eyes adjust to the sights.

My suggestion, especially for home defense, is to invest in a good light for your gun. The last thing you want, should you ever need your gun for defense, is to have to fumble around for a light switch on the wall.
