Your sunburst wag is probably hiding in there somewhere. If you think she is caught up in the filter, you need to get her out of there asap. As for your new fry, they will eat the fish flakes. Feed your fish the way you normally would, with the exception of breaking some of the flakes very small. If the mum is no longer with us, keep feedings extremely minimal. The fry will not eat much in the first week of life. Also, the fry are smarter than you think. I am on my third litter of twinbar platy and the fry tend to stay away from the current of my filter until they get big enough to handle it. They also hide very well so you may have more than you're aware of. So keep the filter going, do not overfeed, and find your platy mum!

...baby fish swimming around? My tank is small (about 3 gallons) and the only other animal in there is an African dwarf frog that isn't even an inch long. I have a cover over the tank with a hole cut in it for the filter (that is to small for a fish to get caught in but I unplugged it when I saw the baby fishes) I looked everywhere around the tank and there is no sign of my fish, who I didn't even know was pregnant! Is there any possibility she is in there hiding because of giving birth? has this happened to anyone else? And how do I take care of the 6 or so babies that are still in there (((I'm guessing a few got sucked up by the filter in the middle of the night)))????
