...Can you help me feel better please? Here's whats going on. I know its silly but its ruining my mood. I just returned from abroad yday and got a gift ($10) for my SIL's 6 mo old baby. When hubby went there last month I had sent a dress for the baby and before that I sent a babyshower gift and a gift when we went to see them too. All these were decided by me and I purchased them.
Now I am feeling a little angry because I recall that my hubby never said dont buy so much for them. I know its his bro's daughter but hes not a spendthrift and he does tell me to control my shopping sprees.
Now even recently when I asked him should I get something for the baby from abroad he said no doesnt matter because we just gave them the frock etc...but when I still got it he saw the gift, smiled and said it looks expensive. (abt $20--it was $10)
I know I sound crazy and cheap but I just cannot digest the fact that he does not seem to mind me spending for no reason on his bro's daughter. When I confronted him he said when you said its $10 I was like fine and if you had said $20 I would have asked you why you got an expensive thing. He says since we have had arguments about such things in the past he has decided to stay away from all gift giving decisions.
I expected him to say why I bought it or why I bothered with it as he had said No.
