I bought a Dodge Grand Caravan and the DVD remote isn't seeming to work...PLEASE HELP!!?

It is a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. The remote looks different from the one in the owners manual but it is just like the ones they are selling on ebay. I have followed the manual rules to a T and still it doesn't recognize the remote. The batteries are BRAND new, the red light flashes when a button is pushed but it does nothing.
