universal remote control-? I had it on a news channel and when I tried to change it to another channel I couldn't. If I did it manually it just flashed a message saying, "no signal." I accidentally lay on it that night, I thought I might have hit some button to cause it but I worked for hours and I could not fix it.Someone who knows a lot about tv, checked it and said I needed to reprogram it---I've lost my instruction booklet that had the numbers needed to program it, does anyone know what I can do to fix it?

It does not mean to reprogram. That new system should mean a hanging party for our corrupt lawmakers. It sucks. If you see channel no try to move your antenna.sometimes helps but the signal changes constantly quite often.you have it,then you do not. They are trying to force us on cable which is highway robbery & boo-koos of stupid people will pay their price. If they would not, then their price would drastically drop. They say the "smart antennae is best but I doubt it.But:the better antennae the better, esp if U can have it outside & high off gnd.Mine I dont know from hr to hr what I can see & have 2 boxes.one gets more channels than the other......Auto ch scan: Hit menu'then 1 ,when has as many as gets hit OK. U may change position of antenna and repeat for more channels.Good luck
