I bought a 1.5 gallon fish tank, what kind of fish can I have in it?

One fantailed variety of Goldfish needs the absolute minimum of 20 gallons and add 10 gallons for every additional fish. This means that you need a 30 gallon tank for them. Other types like Commons and Comets will grow a foot long or more and truly need a larger outdoor pond to thrive.

You may think of their size now which is oh so small, but they grow to be 6 inches and their bodies are the size of a large man's fist.

There is no way you can add anything else in this tank and quite frankly, you need to get those goldfish out of it.

Right now, it's very crucial that you test your water parameters for Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate with the accompaniment of partial water changes on a daily basis or else your fish are going to die. Please, get a larger tank with double filtration.

I already have 2 goldfish. The tank has a filter.
my fish are not even a inch long.. if that makes a difference.
