to small claims court? I recently bought a 2004 yamaha r6 with 30,000. It came with a notarized bill of sale but the seller lost the title and he never registered it in his name the tax collector said. when I went to register it, they said I have to show a judge from small claims court the bill of sale so i can apply for a 2nd lenient ownership what ever that means. The tax collector said their computer shows the bike as sold the date i bought it, but its not registered under the sellers name and he lost the title. I just want to know if here in St Petersburg Florida the judge will give me the right to get the a new title because I have a notarized bill of sale with my signature, the notarizers signature and the sellers signature. The tax collectors office said the bike isnot stolen, and that the bill of sale is GOLDEN because the judge will like that.
