I believe I am a borderline compulsive liar. Please read my details without judging...

...and respond accordingly? My question is intended to get a scientific reason and response, not a moral one. This is why I would prefer atheists/agnostics or non-religious people to respond as I am very non-religious myself. Obviously I lie to keep things on an even keel and 99% of the time they are white lies intended to protect the people I care for and most the time to protect their feelings.
I believe I am a morally good person though sometimes the lying can get compulsive and it's hard to keep up and remember everything without getting caught out.
I also think this could be a control issue as I believe I am a control freak most of the time.
Any positive opinion or feedback is greatly appreciated.

Do you enjoy lying? Lying is second nature to compulsive liars. And you mentioned white lies, I don't know about you, but unless these lies are extremely bad then I doubt you're a compulsive liar.
