I ate a very undercooked hamburger - is there anything I can do now to prevent...

...food poisoning? I was eating an extremely good hamburger, and noticed that it was still red and a bit runny. I really liked this, because I like my beef rare, but a while after I finished it, I remembered you should never eat undercooked hamburger. Ground beef mixes up the bacteria that settles on the top, so unlike Blue-rare steak or steak tar tar, it should be cooked completely through all the time. I always precaution against this, but I it totally left my mind while I was eating it. I'm wondering if there is anything I should do to prevent the possibility of food-poisoning. Would it be a good idea to make myself vomit, or should I just wait a couple of days now to see if I show any symptoms? Is there any kind of nutritional foods I can eat that fight against this? I only just ate it a couple hours ago, and couldn't find anything on the Internet to help me out. All it says it never to do it, which, of course, I already know.

Professional advice is preferred, but opinions are welcome as well.

Thank-you

Don't vomit. The hamburger is already digested by now.

If it were me I would make sure I drank plenty of water to flush my system. I also would make sure I ate very healthy for the next while. I would try and do things to boost my immunity. Your body is going to be fighting that bacteria for a bit now.

Then again, if you are super healthy, and have a strong immune system you may be just fine.
