When I wake up next to you
It sends chills down my spine
I pinch myself to see if I'm dreaming
To see if you're really mine
I see you sleeping so peacefully,
You're eyes are tightly closed
I press my lips on top of yours
No sadness can impose
I hear your heart beat along with mine
It's music to my ears
A song that will never get old,
Not even through the years
Together forever
It's the promise we made
A promise I'll hold dear at heart
Until my dying day
Tell me what you think?

You say that you care
Why is it when I need you most
You're never really there?
I hold so much inside of me
So much you'll never know
There's so much I want to tell you
Yet my feelings go untold
I'll cry once you're asleep
Until I can cry no more,
I'll pray the Lord will be with me
Through this love that feels like war.
