i argued with my boyfriend and he is twisting what i say?

we argued - or i should say he argued with me - in front of my son. i was really upset and my son who is five was saying how mean he thought he was. i text him and said i dont know why he had to be like that and if he was coming over tonight to continue arguing then not to bother because i dont want my son to hear it. he then turned up at my house and said he wont be over at all tonight because i am telling him not to come. im confused - i have the text and told him not to come if he wants to continue arguing. now i am dumped for argueing. help
 
Hey, your 5 year old CHILD recognizes what your boyfriend did was wrong.

Men can be lousy communicators, can't they?
You have to wait for a time when they are receptive to feedback and layer it between complements.
e.g. Honey, I love it when you do the dishes (even if he just walked by them and never actually cleaned any of them).
Really, it sounds absurd but it works!

Now you see what a loser he is.
You asked him not to come over w/ your son there with his foolishness & he did it anyway.
Zero respect.
