I argued with his mother, now he's angry with me...?

His mother was saying stuff like, "Woman shouldn't marry more than once. If she's going to get married, she should never divorce, especially if she already has daughter and a son who's away in college. She failed to raised them up, and now look, her son is making an innocent girl who had such an amazing future ahead of her ruined by making her pregnant. What kind of mother is she? Just in case, I would watch out for her daughter as well. If the woman can't raise up her son well, how well would you expect her to raise up her daughter up? All day the woman flirts with men, when her skin already has wrinkles. Her daughter will be no difference."

She was saying this to her friends, but in front of me, which she and I both know that she is referring to my own mother and my own family. Then, she turned to me and asked, "Am I right, darling?" So I tried to defend my mother and family... but it eventually lead to an argument in front of her friends. He was beside me, and he was kicking my leg, just so I get the hint to be quiet. But I was angry so I kept on arguing.

Now it's angry with me for arguing with his mother, making her embarassed in front of her friends, and making her dislike me more. She orginally already dislike me because I'm of a different race, I am of a different religion, and because she doesn't like who I am in general. Now I made the situation harder for him, because his mother now really hates me.

I feel bad...but what should I do? He won't talk to me.

don't ever argue with his mother,sometimes we have to be humble and respect our elders talk to him about evething his mother is saying to you and ask him to please talk to his mother,because after all she will always be in his life and if he wants you to be in his life you want the same respect you give his mother
