I am wondering whether to Use a Yamaha MG166X USB with a Macbook pro.Help pls.?

I am trying to design a computer based recording system and this is the gears I chose:

1)Yamaha MG166X-USB-16 channel USB Mixer With Compression/Effects($1400)

2)MacBook Pro OS X

3)Akai MPK49 Keyboard USB MIDI Controller

4)Digidesign 192 I/O 16 channel

I am actually a amateur on this.Anyone can help?Thanks
