i am starting a marine fish aqurium, i have a 125 litre tank a fluval 305 external water tank, i will be buying a protien skimmer, i have marine lights, is they any thing else i will need to get started, or essentials, is live rock a really assesorty or can i add this as i add more fish
 
a 30 gallon aquarium is an ok starter size aquarium, you will need a hydrometer and a good salt brand to mix your salt. You might also want to invest in a powerhead or two for added current as well as a tool to mix the salt. Heater/Chiller might be needed.

Live rock is a need, but a good idea to get. Live rock provides structure as well as biological filtration. The better points about live rock is that it doesnt need to be added all at the same time. You are best getting around 10 pounds for cycling and then add on later.

Test kits would also be helpful so you can know where your cycling process is.
