I am starting a jewelry business with friends?

We are all in our freshman year in high school and want to raise up money for a trip to japan. we came up with many ideas and organized all of them. but then, my friend mentioned a business license... will we need one to sell our jewelry? oh and we also want to buy wholesale
 
Buying wholesale does require that you apply for a "resellers license" so that you can purchase your items and charge sales tax that you collect for the state. What you don't need is a business license, as you are not going to do this for a professional purpose, this is more like fund raising for a specific purpose. You don't need a bank account, just one person to handle the finances. Good Luck!
