I am running for my sports day and I need help..?

I am a fast runner for my age but im good at short distances like a hundred or 200hundred but for my sports day im doing 1000m and I am not good at long distances as i get tired easily. How should I build my stamina so I dont slow donw after 200m ? Please help!! sports day in 2 weeks !!!
